Assists in the development of a multidisciplinary Genetics Counseling Program.2. Provides genetic counseling and education with adult and pediatric hereditary diseases.  Serves as patient advocate and refers individuals and families to community or state support services.3. Works directly in the following areas to set up and provide genetic counseling:  Pediatrics, Breast Health, Cancer Programs, Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Obstetrics/Gynecology (other programs as necessary and as qualified).4. Maintains an office both on the hospital campus, as well as, provides services at off-site locations, as needed.5. Engages in research activities related to the field of medical genetics and genetic counseling.6. Assists in the development of a Quality Program for Genetic Counseling and adheres to that program.7. Collects data regarding patient histories and maintains a database for that information.8. Develops educational materials for patients and providers.9. Participates in committees, as necessary.QUALIFICATIONS: We require a Masters Degree in medical genetics and counseling with clinical experience in the areas of medical genetics and counseling.
